Tell us about yourself! In December of 2018, I quit my dreary office job to pursue my passions - writing and working with animals! It's been a dream come true and I've never looked back! It's also given me more free time to spend time with my amazing family, including our 5-year-old rescue dog Alvin. Growing up, I had a wonderful family dog, a Yorkshire Terrier named Joey. He was a super special pup who was diagnosed with diabetes at a relatively young age and required daily insulin shots. He was a tough little guy and went on to live a long and happy life!

What is your favourite part about walking dogs? Hanging out with dogs, getting fresh air and exercise, and exploring our great city - what's not to love?!

If you could be any type of dog, what would you be and why? I just took a Buzz Feed quiz and apparently I'm a Shiba Inu! I may come across as aloof but really I'm just picky - an introvert who loves socializing with my core group of friends and family, affectionate but on my own terms - pretty bang on, Buzz Feed!

Tell us about yourself! I have always loved all animals, especially dogs, from childhood and often babysat the dogs of family members. I was never able to own a dog of my own as a kid, but I always knew that one day when I grew up and lived on my own, I would make sure a dog was in my life. Now I have my wonderful Shorkie Poo, Ru, and I couldn't be happier! When I am not walking dogs and taking care of my own, I am a professional actor and musician. My education background is in Opera and I have a Masters of Music, but my passion has led me to a career in Musical Theatre. You might have seen me in some local shows at the Lower Ossington Theatre and with Wavestage Theatre before I became a union actor. I also play keys and sing for a classic rock cover band called Georgia Pines.

What is your favourite part about walking dogs? What's not to love about this job? It keeps me active, it gives me my daily dose of vitamin D (even in the winter) and I get to make friends with so many amazing, loving, and sweet pups!

If you could be any type of dog, what would you be & why? I have been told I would be a husky because they also like to sing. But in my opinion, I am a border collie all the way! I'm a total extrovert and I love gathering my friends together and organizing our events (my version of herding).

Tell us about yourself! Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. It's been an endless love story that has consumed me and continued into my career. Wherever I go, if there's a dog - that's where I'll be. My obsession expanded into learning as much about canines as I could and led to 5 yrs as a Professional Pet Stylist in Toronto. I absolutely am that person who will stop a stranger on the street, just to say hi to their dog and wish it a good day. When I'm not walking the dogs of Leash & Paws, I am a Mommager of two saucy, chihuahuas. I spend most of my free time grooming them, teaching them tricks, taking their photos and making art inspired by them.

What is your favourite part about walking dogs? The dogs! Of course! I consider them all furry friends and they make great listeners!

If you could be any type of dog, what would you be and why? I would want to be a Saluki. They're gentle, loyal companions and fast like the wind.

Tell us about yourself! I was lucky enough to have a dog when I was a kid. An absolutely goofy, lovable Labradoodle named Tucker. He loved eating absolutely everything (including wallpaper) and his favourite game was 'drop my toy in the pool so they'll throw it'. He gave me a deep love for dogs (and other animals!) and I can't wait to have a dog of my own someday. When I'm not hanging out with dogs, I work as an actor in the theatre and film industries. I also work as a baker at a cafe, and direct kids in musicals. I love bringing my creativity to everything I do, and make visual art in my free time!

What is your favourite part about walking dogs?
I love getting to be outside! Plus any time hanging out with dogs is good for the soul and I love watching each dog's personality shine.

If you could be any type of dog, what would you be and why? This is a tough question!! I think I would be a Shepherd / Bernese Mountain dog cross. The drive and focus of a shepherd, mixed with the relaxed, laid back aspects of the mountain dog. Plus the thicker coat for the colder weather!

Tell us about yourself! When I was 2 years old my family introduced an extremely hyper Springer Spaniel pup into our family and I have been passionate about dogs ever since. When I am not out walking dogs I am usually at my happiest going for runs and exploring new places. I also love going to music concerts whenever I can get the chance.

What is your favourite part about walking dogs? I love that I am making a career out of something I would gladly volunteer to do anyways, and getting to know the various vibrant personalities of my doggy clients both big and small.

If you could be any type of dog, what would you be and why? If I was a dog I would probably be a golden retriever as I am very friendly and always enjoy meeting new people!

Tell us about yourself! My grandmother helped raise me and she was a dog lover, she had 13 dogs in her lifetime. My favourite was a Black Lab named Jenny who was exactly my age and was my best friend growing up. We also had a Golden Doodle later on when I was a teen and my parents recently got a Portuguese Waterdog puppy, Rudy. I am a music and arts enthusiast. In my free time I like to see live music and spend time with my friends and family. I also like dancing, biking and spending time in nature.

What is your favourite part about being a dog walker? I love spending time with animals and although I don't have a dog of my own at the moment I would like to have one at some point (right now I have cats). I enjoy being active outdoors and I like meeting people who live in my community.

If you could be any type of dog, what would you be and why? I took a quiz and it said I would be a mutt! I stand by it because I have met so many amazing and sweet rescue dogs that are mixed breed.

Tell us about yourself! Originally from Scotland, I moved to Toronto 3 years ago. My best friend as a small child was Desi, a fearsome but friendly (to me) Berger de Beauce. She was the protector of our family when we were living overseas and that's where my love of bigger dogs began. I like to keep busy so I usually have a couple of jobs or projects on the go. When I'm not dog walking I am a freelance graphic designer and bartender. When it comes to the summer time, I like to slow things down and enjoy the outdoors more with a bike ride or exploring different parts of the city.

What is your favourite part about being a dog walker? It's nice to create a bond with the dogs. They recognize you purely as the person who takes them out for a walk so it's always positive greeting. Even if it's not that nice a day out, they don't care!

If you could be any type of dog, what would you be and why? I would be an Australian Shepherd. They're active but easy-going.

Tell us about yourself! I am from Manitoba, but have been a Torontonian for over 10 years. I was lucky enough to grow up with so many pets in and outside of the house. From fish, hamsters, cats, dogs and even horses. Our family is big on animals! I have a little dog named Chloe, who I adopted about 2 years ago. She is half Pekinese/half Chihuahua. She loves her naps a bit more than her walks

What is your favourite part about walking dogs? I love getting to interact with the pups - seeing how happy/excited they get for their walks and being able to be on their daily adventure with them, it makes me just as happy!

If you could be any type of dog, what would you be and why? I would be a lab because they are genuine, loyal and loving. They may be messy but they will never judge anyone else's mess either!

Tell us about yourself! I've always loved animals. Growing up, I had wonderful dogs, birds, and bunnies. These days I live with Blue and Tiggleby, my bunnies. They have free roam of my apartment, and they've got big personalities for such small creatures. In my spare time I love doing arts and crafts, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, binging tv, and listening to music. I am involved in animal rights, human rights, and environmental activism.

What is your favourite part about being a dog walker?
Greeting the dogs each day is the best feeling. I love being outside and active. Even when the weather isn't the greatest, walking with dogs is still the best job one can have!

If you could be any type of dog, what would you be and why? I think I'd be a lab. I'm happy having a lazy day on the couch, or playing frisbee in the park, and I definitely value silliness.

Tell us about yourself! I am a Norwegian girl who grew up on a farm with all kinds of animals. Horses and dogs were probably my favourite, but I do love them all! In my free time I practice Reiki with people and animals, helping both to learn how to harness energy for healing and positivity.

What is your favourite part about walking dogs? My favourite part about dog walking is the look of happiness on their faces when I show up to play or walk with them. It really is just a wonderful feeling to be greeted with such happiness and love! The excersise is an added bonus!

If you could be any type of dog, what would you be and why? I can't pick which type of dog i would be because I love a piece of each of their personalities! The stubbornness of the Frenchie, kindness of the Retriver, playfulness of the Westie, feistiness of the Pomeranian and the loyalty of the Potcake.
