With the recent stories in the news about dogs being left in scorching hot ovens I decided to look for a product that could benefit dog owners who travel with their dogs in the car over the summer months. I cam across Too Hot For Spot. Owner and creator Denice Pruett has created a one of a kind product, a static cling thermometer that clings to any window of your car and will not only tell you if it’s too hot for your dog but also if it’s too cold. This will also help people passing by your car to determine if it may in fact be too hot for your dog or if you are simply dropping money into a meter near by and have left your dog in the car for a quick moment. With campaigns starting up of bricks being thrown to windows prior to phone calls being made a lot of controversy has stirred about around the subject.
As a pet owner and someone who is constantly running around all over we usually have our dog with us at all times, but we make it a point that we only go to places where he is allowed to come with us and if we have longer errands to run we will leave him at home. We also try to park in shady areas so that the car is not too hot when we get back to it as well.
Too Hot For Spot is a must have items for all pet owners who travel with their dogs. It is part of responsible pet ownership to be able to monitor your dogs temperature as they are not able to tell you. This goes to prove that no dog should be left in a hot car unsupervised for a long period of time causing passerby’s to have to call police or animal services to get involved. The recent new stories are horrific and the owners of the dogs should face charges and not be allowed to own an animal.
